Quick answers first — and a real person at info@charmstack.dev if you need one.
How do I play?
Everyone gets a face-down grid of cards. On your turn, draw from the
pile or take the top discard, then place it in your grid (or discard it and flip one of
your own cards). Low totals win. Three matching cards in a column clear
it to zero — matching means the same number, or a run of three consecutive values in the
same color band. When one player has flipped everything, everyone else gets one last
turn, all cards reveal, and the round is scored. If you closed the round but didn't have
the lowest score, your score doubles — close carefully.
How do family (online) matches work?
Tap Family (online), sign in with Apple, and create a
group. Share the 8-character invite code with your people; they join with
Join by code. Anyone in a group can start a match with 1–3 opponents
from it. Matches are async — take your turn whenever, and we'll nudge whoever's next
with a notification. Groups hold up to 12 people and are invite-only; there is no
public matchmaking.
My column didn't clear — why?
Columns clear (vertical stacks), not rows. A column
clears on three of the same number, or a run like 1·2·3 in any order — but a run must
stay within one color band (the card colors group values into bands; a 4 and a 5 are
different bands, so 3·4·5 doesn't clear). You can toggle runs off entirely when setting
up a match.
I'm not getting turn notifications
Check Settings → Notifications → SkyGrid on your device and make sure
notifications are allowed. Notifications only fire when the turn passes to you — if
you're playing a bot, the bot moves instantly and the board just updates. If it still
seems stuck, pull down on the match list to refresh, and make sure you're on the newest
version in TestFlight or the App Store.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Family (online) → Delete account (bottom of
the screen). This removes you from your groups and permanently deletes your profile,
display name, and notification token from our servers. Matches already in progress
continue for the other players. Solo and pass-and-play data lives only on your device
and is removed by deleting the app.
Is SkyGrid free? Are there ads?
SkyGrid 1.0 is free with no ads and no purchases. A future update may
add optional ads with a one-time purchase to remove them — nothing pay-to-win, ever.
